Machong Township makes achievements in construction of beautiful villages

In recent years, Zhushan Village in Machong Township, Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture has opened up a new path for the construction of beautiful countryside to empower rural revitalization and made great achievements.

Machong Township invited a professional team to tailor the rural development plan for Zhushan Village. They worked together with the villagers to seek development through various forms like villager representative meetings and courtyard meetings. The township also introduced relevant enterprises, projects, funds, and talents for the construction of beautiful countryside.

Besides, it coordinated various forces such as tourism companies, Party members, villagers, and rural elites to participate in the grassroots governance.

In addition, it provided villagers with such jobs as cleaners, waiters, salespeople, actors, and security guards by developing the tourism industry, in a bid to boost their income, allowing villagers to share the fruits of development. Through the construction of beautiful countryside as well as the development of cultural tourism, the villagers of Zhushan had salary, stock, and rent. Villagers, the village and the tourism company has achieved common development, progress, and profitability.

Zhushan Village has successively won many honorary titles, like the National Key Village for Rural Tourism, the National Demonstration Village for Rural Governance, one of 100 Demonstration Cases of Poverty Alleviation through Rural Tourism in China, and the Demonstration Village for Beautiful Countryside in Hunan Province.
